Son of Aldemar Lerma and Miriam Solís, his full name is Jefferson Andrés Lerma Solís. Lerma was born on 25 October 1994 in El Cerrito, Valle del Cauca, Colombia. He begins his football career with Atlético Huila, where he joined the club since he was a child. in 2013 Lerma was promoted into Atlético Huila’s first team, he made 20 appeared in his first professional debut with the club, that an impressive record, cause back in 2013, Lerma was a 19 years old teenager.
With Atlético Huila Lerma spend two professional seasons, in August 2015 he moves to Spain and joined a Laliga club, Levate, he signed a one-year loan contract with the Spanish club. In Levante Lerma playing his part very well, at the end of his first season with the club, Levante gave him a new contract, a four-year contract with a €600,000 transfer fee.
