While Team USA fought hard on Sunday, Team Europe retained the Ryder Cup for a second-straight event.

The Europeans entered Sunday up seven points and needing just 2.5 points to retain the cup and three to win. However, the Americans pushed back, staying alive through the first seven matches and making the final four matter.

In the end, Shane Lowry came back from down a few holes to Russell Henley, forcing a tied match to secure the winning half-point.

Team Europe becomes the first back-to-back champions since they won three-straight from 2010-2014. This is also the first time a road team won the event since Europe won in 2012, as Europe has now won four road Ryder Cups since Team USA’s last win in Europe.

The Europeans road a strong first two days to victory, but Team USA did create some serious momentum down the stretch. Also of note, Viktor Hovland’s neck injury forced him to withdraw from Sunday but secured half-a-point from Harris English in the process.

The Sporting News tracked live scores, updates, and highlights from Day 2 of the 2025 Ryder Cup. Here’s what happened.
